Weibing Lu

PhD, Chief Professor, PhD Supervisor

    Distinguished Young Scholar of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Distinguished Professor of Jiangsu Province (Priority Support Program). He received his doctoral degree in electromagnetic field theory and microwave technology from Southeast University in 2005. Since the same year, he has been working at the State Key Laboratory of Millimeter Waves, Southeast University.

    His current research focuses on flexible radio frequency technologies, including flexible electromagnetic materials, flexible metasurfaces, flexible microwave and millimeter-wave devices and circuits, and intelligent electromagnetic computation. He has presided over and completed more than ten national-level projects, including projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

    His research achievements have been awarded numerous provincial and ministerial-level prizes, such as the First Prize of Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Award and the First Prize of Military Science and Technology Progress Award. He has been selected into several high-level talent programs, including the Jiangsu Provincial Six Talent Peaks Program and the New Century Excellent Talents Program of the Ministry of Education. He is also a core member of the first batch of Huang Danian-style Teacher Teams approved by the Ministry of Education. Supported by the Distinguished Young Scholar Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, he is a Senior Member of both the Chinese Institute of Electronics and IEEE, as well as an expert engaged in the strategic research of electronic information development in China.

    Currently, he serves as the Director of the Flexible Radio Frequency Technology Research Center at Southeast University, the Executive Director of the Frontier Science Center for Mobile Information and Security of the Ministry of Education, and the Person-in-Charge of the Jiangsu Provincial JMRH Innovation Technology Platform for Flexible and Wearable Wireless Communication.
